Rightax is assisting two well‑established Cyprus‑based companies in the real estate and valuations sector to recruit a full‑time Hands‑on Accountant in Nicosia.
This role is ideal for an experienced accountant who enjoys autonomy, full responsibility of the accounting cycle and close cooperation with management in a small, well‑structured working environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Full accounting cycle for two Cyprus companies
• Bookkeeping and posting of accounting entries
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns
• Preparation of payroll for approximately 10 employees and payments to Social Insurance and Tax Authorities
• Bank reconciliations and electronic banking payments
• Issuance of invoices and receipts
• Credit control and follow‑up of collections
• Liaison with external auditors, tax advisors and banks
• Support of valuation administration processes and internal workflows
Qualifications & Experience
• Minimum 3–4 years’ experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role in Cyprus
• Very good knowledge of Cyprus VAT, payroll and accounting procedures
• Experience with accounting software and payroll systems
• Excellent command of Greek and English (written and spoken)
• Strong organisational skills, accuracy and ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications (Advantage)
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance or LCCI Higher
• Experience in a professional services or real estate environment
What We Offer
• Monthly salary: €1,600 – €2,000 gross (depending on experience and qualifications)
